Giuseppe Bergomi Vintage Shirt
This classic football shirt has been authentically reproduced to exacting detail.
The material is our unique GOLACRYL™ woven acrylic polyester, identical to the football shirt Giuseppe Bergomi wore during the 1981-82 season.
The Mec Sport “Butterfly” logo and the Scudetto Star are embroidered separately on patches and then stitched onto the shirt, as was done at the time.
The No.2 is heat-applied flock material. The INNO-HIT sponsor has been paint-printed onto the shirt.
Please follow care instructions closely: may shrink if not followed.
Lo Zio – The Uncle, the nickname of legendary Italian defender Giuseppe Bergomi. Born in Milan in 1963, he made his debut at the age of only 16 in the 1980-81 season. He went on to make over 750 appearances for one club in his 20-year career. He went to 4 World Cups with Italy, winning football’s ultimate prize in his very first one aged only 18 – playing the full 90 mins in Italy’s last 2 matches. He earned the nickname The Uncle because of his bushy eyebrows and moustache that he wore from a young age. He is regarded as one of the greatest Italian defenders of all time and was selected by Pelé to be part of the FIFA 100 in 2004.
Please note that for Trademark reasons we cannot reproduce the crest of the club in question.
